description

NECA and ITF are contributing to Nigeria's economic development through the Technical Skills Development Project (TSDP), aiming to equip youth with industry-relevant skills. Over the next 5 years, the project will train 500 youths annually in technical skills using member facilities and approved curriculum. Collaborating closely with industries, NECA and ITF designed tailored training programmes to address specific skill needs, benefiting 500 youth yearly. Additionally, the commitment provides job placement support to connect trained youth with employment opportunities, with a target of 100 youth per year. A joint steering committee comprising NECA and ITF representatives governs the commitment, overseeing planning, implementation, and evaluation. The initiative seeks to bridge the skills gap, fostering youth employment in the formal sector, thereby contributing to poverty reduction and economic growth.
