WHAT IS IT?


Under the directive of the UN Secretary General, as outlined in his Our Common Agenda, ILO, ITCILO, MICROSOFT, AIESEC, UNDESA and UNICEF and in support of the Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth are launching a Youth Employment Barometer survey to track career paths and labour market outcomes for youth through 2025 and beyond.


WHY PARTICIPATE?


 Share your voice and thoughts to help us listen to the aspirations and challenges you face on your employment journey. Your input will enable us to develop the right policies and mobilize the necessary resources.


 By participating, you will automatically be entered into our exciting prize draw, where 20 lucky participants will receive one of the following "thank you" prizes:

Participants will explore gender-responsive approaches to employment and economic policies, with a focus on job creation, skill development, and improving women’s access to decent and productive employment—including the promotion of a just transition to climate neutral economies and societies.
    ◦ This course is designed for policy makers, advisors, technical experts, and other professionals from institutions focused on employment and gender, as well as government officials from ministries such as Labour, Economy, and Finance, and representatives from workers’ and employers’ organizations. Staff from international organizations, donor agencies, and academic institutions are also welcome to participate.
    ◦ Course dates: 17 March to 11 April 2025

PRIZE DRAW RULES



  • All participants who complete the survey and are between 18 and 34 years of age will be automatically entered into the prize draw.

  • Participants who complete the survey will have the opportunity, subject to the conditions specified in this document, to win one of the aforementioned prizes.

  • The draw will include all email addresses collected from survey submissions between 7 November and 17 December 2024.

  • The first 3 randomly selected winners will receive the scholarships. Priority will be given to winners from developing countries.

  • The next 10 winners will receive Premium Subscriptions to LinkedIn Learning.

  • The final 7 winners will have their articles published on the Decent Jobs for Youth blog, subject to editorial review by the ILO team.

  • Winners will be contacted via email on 18 December 2024 to confirm their prize details, upon verification of their age (18 to 34) and country of origin. Winners will also be announced on this page, subject to their consent.

  • You must be between 18 and 34 years of age to participate.

  • You will be asked to verify your age (with an ID document) if you are one of the prize draw winners.

  • You will be asked to verify your country of origin (with an ID document) if you are one of the scholarship winners.
