Teaching Testing & Automation in Argentina

The commitment will be delivered through “Plan Azurduy”, a four-month on-site training program in testing & automation. It is free of charge for participants. The program also supports the development of soft skills, which are essential for the current world of work. The target audience is young mothers aged 18 to 30 from different socioeconomic backgrounds in the suburb areas of Buenos Aires. In this framework, the two main objectives of the program are reducing the gender gap in the digital economy and creating jobs for the future of work.

The commitment will benefit young mothers who are high school graduates and committed to completing the training programme. The project coordinators will understand their backgrounds and expectations. With the support IT companies, a curriculum is designed for young women to acquire essential skills for tech jobs in a short period. In collaboration with the departments of Human Resources, the training offers soft skills for succeeding in tech jobs. The programme has an innovative and engaging pedagogy for participants’ active engagement and practical tasks that enhance participants’ job-ready skills. The training will increase participants’ possibility of getting quality jobs while increasing the inclusiveness of jobs in the sector. At the end of the programme, A social event will be hosted for sponsors and other companies to provide networking opportunities.

 

So far, 50% of the alumni secured jobs in the IT sector in less than 3 months after completing the programme. The alumni got job opportunities in companies such as Accenture, Microsoft, etc.
