description

Humans in the Loop will extend its online remote work program to Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Portugal in 2021 in order to reach up to 500 people by 2022. As a social enterprise, Humans in the Loop is financing its own business development through earned revenue, in order to create a self-sustaining initiative in the long-term. This means that all income for the beneficiaries will come from B2B sales. Partnering with local organizations in the region such as the Roia Foundation, we are able to reach unbanked people who do not have the right to work locally and make a transformative impact on their lives.

The work provided will be compensated at a level of up to 2x the minimum hourly wage in each country and will be in line with the Fair Work Policy of Humans in the Loop, including the provision of medical insurance and social security where applicable. The access to online work will be coupled with project-specific and generic digital skills trainings for all beneficiaries in order to upskill them while they are working. The participation in both the work and training aspect will be free of charge for beneficiaries.
