17th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates

30 Nobel Peace Laureates, awarded organizations, prize recipients and Peace Laureates’ foundations from around the world arrived in Merida, Mexico, for the 17th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates, held between 18 and 22 September 2019. The Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth and the ILO Office for Mexico participated in a panel session to highlight the challenges on global media responsibility in social justice building and brought a participatory workshop session on green jobs for youth.

The Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth and the ILO Office for Mexico participated actively during the Summit, supporting peacebuilding and youth promotion as key and relevant elements for a sustainable future.

In detail, the Global Initiative participated in a panel session to highlight the challenges on global media responsibility in social justice building and brought a participatory workshop session on green jobs for youth to share and exchange opinions and points of view to support an effective implementation and participation of young women and men.
