description

In 2013, the Permanent Secretariat introduced its official youth program, Leading by Example. Following the morning plenary sessions, students enter into educational workshops and lectures led by the Nobel Peace Laureates, academicians, experts, and students. Topics for the workshops span from principles in leadership to environmental conservancy. The workshops aim to engage Youth in dialogue with the experts.

It includes:

PeaceLab which is a great opportunity to prove yourself and to share your unique ideas, projects and initiatives. PeaceLab will present 3 projects from local Korean Youth and 3 projects from international delegates. All projects are aimed at practical implementation. PeaceLab is focused on practical issues.

Social Best Prize - each year, our team is pleased to recognize a student or young professional with the best idea to affect social change. The winner of the PeaceLab Project will be chosen by a select group of Nobel Peace Laureates during the week of the World Summit in Seoul.

Workshops relate to one or more of the following themes: Responsible Leadership, Climate Change and Environment, Democracy, Reconciliation, Migration, Peace and the Private Sector, Access to Quality Education, Diversity and Inclusion, Justice and Sustainable Development, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Youth Empowerment, and Strategies for Peacebuilding.
