Research Workshop on “Boosting Decent Employment for Africa’s Youth”

Boosting Decent Employment for Africa’s Youth is a multi-funder research initiative launched in 2018 by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the Knowledge Platform on Inclusive Development Policies (INCLUDE), and the International Labour Organization (ILO). The aim of the research initiative is to provide key insights, practical guidance, and tools to policy makers and practitioners to help realize aspirations for a large-scale positive change for youth employment in Africa.

The workshop is a joint effort of the Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the INCLUDE knowledge platform. It will provide a collaborative platform for shortlisted research teams, policy makers, youth representatives, representatives of workers’ and employers’ organizations and other youth employment stakeholders. The two-day programme will include panel discussions on youth employment, presentations and discussions of research projects, and capacity building sessions on gender analysis and research uptake.
