2019 ECOSOC Partnership Forum
Every year, ECOSOC Partnership Forum provides the opportunity to listen to the world’s most influential thinkers and actors. The Forum engages high-profile representatives from governments and non-state actors for dynamic discussions on how to define and promote effective partnerships and how partnerships can best advance the sustainable development agenda and the 17 SDGs. The 2019 ECOSOC Partnership Forum aims to review multi-stakeholder partnerships around these five SDGs and showcase good practices and lessons learned on the role of multi-stakeholder partnerships in driving inclusion and impacts.

Under the overall theme of “Partnerships Driving Inclusive Implementation of the SDGs”, the objectives of the 2019 ECOSOC Partnership Forum are to showcase innovative multi-stakeholder partnerships and partnership platforms led by national governments to draw concrete recommendations on ways to address existing gaps in SDG implementation, and to catalyse value-additions and accountability for different stakeholders; to discuss ways to enhance the effectiveness of UN-associated partnerships in the context of ongoing UNDS reform; and to provide update on the work of the UNSDG Strategic Results Group on Partnerships and the Strategic Results Group on Financing.
Ms Susana Puerto from the Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youths will be participating as a panelist for Session II to discuss how multi-stakeholder partnership can serve as a lever to drive inclusion and impact in the implementation of the UN SDGs, especially in providing decent jobs for young women and men all over the world.
