The Annual Meeting aims to assess progress since the birth of the IANYD, almost 10 years ago, and look forward in terms of identifying new strides, methods and areas for interagency cooperation. description

In alignment with the UN Youth Strategy’s objective to “ensure their engagement and participation in the implementation, review and follow-up of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as well as other relevant global agendas and frameworks”, the Annual Meeting will provide an opportunity to further explore, reflect and agree on core recommended principles for UN’s meaningful engagement with youth, including youth-led networks, organizations and structures.

For the first time, the Annual Meeting will include a new series of labs on flagship initiatives, which will allow members to interact on some of the large UN initiatives on youth in an interactive manner.  And partners of the Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth will be holding a lab to present the work of the initiative and how it is working with young people to scale up action and impact on youth employment. The objective of the Lab is to mobilize members of the IANYD to scale up action and maximize synergies on youth employment in the platform of Decent Jobs for Youth.
