With UNDP’s leadership, the annual conference of the Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth will be geared towards scaling up action and impact in achieving gender equality in youth employment. The conference will take place in 2020 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Under the tagline, “A New Decade for Gender Equality in Youth Employment”, the conference will provide an opportunity to unpack the constraints and barriers to achieve gender equality in youth employment solutions and the engagement of young people in productive employment and decent work. The conference will also invite a reflection on the ways forward in bridging the gender gap in the world of work and delve into the opportunities for young women’s access to, participation and advancement in the labour market
