International Labour Organization (ILO)
The International Labour Organization was founded in 1919 with the aim of promoting rights at work, encouraging employment opportunities, enhancing social protection and strengthening social dialogue. The ILO is the only tripartite U.N agency, bringing together governments, employers and workers’ representatives from 187 member States to set labour standards, develop policy and devise programmes promoting decent work for women and men all over the world.
