South Korea’s youth employment support overview

The University Job Plus Center Project, supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) and implemented across 117 universities in South Korea, aims to enhance career prospects for young people. From May 2024 to December 2025, the Korea Employment Information Service (KEIS) will provide an overview of this program, highlighting best practices in career guidance and job support services for students and regional youth.

Cohort Panel Project in Korea for Supporting Youth

The youth employment challenges in Korea have exacerbated due to factors such as skills mismatches and the lack of adequate job opportunities for young people. To improve youth employment in Korea, KEIS has been conducting a cohort panel survey for youth since 2021. KEIS intends to support the formulation of employment policies to tackle youth unemployment and contribute to related research in the international community, through sharing outcomes and evidence from the survey. The lead entity of the commitment is Korea Employment Information Service (KEIS), which is funded by Korea’s Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL).
